I got a pny that came at 500/900 and I oc'd it to 600/1100 with no problems. few months later i took off the heatsink and put some artic silver on, now i have it at 605.

I gave up and bought the pny. After shipping and all it was slightly over $200, but overclocked to 597/1100 stable for several days now, so i feel it was worth it. It did default to 500/900, but i didn't leave it at that speed for any amount of time, couldn't wait to OC it.

I have that case, its like a big soda can. You are way better off getting an antec case with a 300 or 350w power supply. powmax 400w rating is more like 250w...it puts out 400w if its turned on inside an iceberg perhaps.

I haven't seen anyplace selling Leadtek 6600GT AGP WinFast A6600 at all yet. Just checked all i could find was places in .au taking orders for it @ $350.

Well imo i'd say get 3 pata and a dvd burner, then get 2 sata, then buy a pata pci card and get 4 more pata drives, then buy a sata pci card and get a few more sata drives. Oh and add scsi in there somewhere.

I've searched all over, there is no place selling leadtek 6600gt agp cards whatsoever. Just previews here and there. So I'm semi-re thinking how i feel about this since it seems that these video cards do not exist yet...so until leadtek gets them off the assembly line and out to resellers then...

The 16mb and/or however they designed this drive does make a difference. I bought the 250mb version recently, and have 7 various drives in my comp, the maxtor III blows them all away in speed except for the raptor, which is faster then the maxtor, but the raptor is 10krpm.

If the one year warrenty doesn't worry you then its a good deal if your just running a stock machine. A quick search on newegg and I found 9 different ddr400 512mb sticks for $5-$10 more that all have lifetime warrenty. Its worth an extra $5 even if you'll only use it 2 years tops or one year...
