Been looking at this camera for a while and found this weekend special at Abe's of Maine
Nikon D50 Body Only
Also want to pickup the 18-70mm lense that normally comes with the D70s kit, but they don't have it in stock.
Their reseller rating is a mixed bag. Several comments about...
Anyone interested in the concept of using conventional memory as a hard drive should check out the Tigi drives ( Tigi Corp ) but don't expect the price to be much better. They have a cool method of storing the info to a notebook hard drive when the power is off.
CPU upgrade is also on the calendar. My motherboard only supports up to 1200 and I have 512 MB of PC133. I want to wait for the Athlon 64 bit to enhance my futureproofing.
Seeking recommendations on a moderately priced video card upgrade. I'm currently running a very old but faithful Radeon LE 32 MB with an Athlon 1200. I'm not a heavy gamer, but want to try Star Wars: Galaxies which requires DirectX9 (per the packaging). Obviously, I don't do this very often...

NewEgg has the FIC Falcon CR51, a super small barebones system based on the Mini-itx format. This is great as a thin client, Linux web server or kid's PC. I will set mine up with a wireless NIC and flash drive for a super quiet workstation. The best price I can find elsewhere is $160 + $25...
The Inquirer reports the Clawhammer will be delayed until September. They feel the Barton will be fast enough to compete with Pentium 4 chips until then. Take appropriate size grain of salt.

A few comments from a salon owner...Most states do require a license which means 200-500 hours of training. My salon charges $25-45 dollars for nail services. You get 50% commission plus tips, generally $3-7 dollars per service. Each nail appointment can take 20 min to an hour...do the math...

I just bought the Cornerstone C910 monitor two weeks ago. I ordered on a Tuesday and it arrived on Friday without a hitch. The color is great and no screen distortions. I purchased the $20 dollar service contract so no need to worry about shipping if something does go wrong.
I still own a...
