sorta what i want to do is take the 2 pc and only have 1 nic in each and let the router do both lan and internet with 2 seperste ips!!!...i hope that seems clearer?

ok.it hit me....what the main thing is is i want to set up this system so that the router will recognize the sperate ips!!can it be done or would it be easier and cheaper to just get a switch because im not sharing the internet!!?? thanks

thanks for the info...im cofused too!!i just want to have one network card in each and not share the internet-im ok with paying for the seperate ips and be able to game on each one pc to pc...i think maybe ill buy a switch and save money because it will be easier to setup because i dont need to...

thanks for reply...ill try to explain...i want 2 networks with router one that lans the 2 pcs and one for the internet with no ip sharing because we all have different or our own ips....this will be on winfirst so i will not need modem.....is that a little clearer?let me know...

This is my setup: my pc roomys pc server---all with own ip-----going to a router---and then to a cable modem-----i want to be able to have a lan with 2 of the pcs(not the server if possible) and not share internet cus they have thier own ip....on the lan settings for the linksys on the online...

Im getting this error when i run bootvis-timeout occured while waiting for scheduled service to start-and then when i close that it says failed to dfrag system please manually defrag system but ive done that and it still does this.....this error happens when i optimize system.and in the registry...

Well thats the questio and i often wondered it........i know that amd would have to have a fsb to support it but then how would the benches look between amd and insmell?

My prob is when i go to do boot-vis it hangs after i reboots to desktop on the window that says optimizing and laying files on hard drive for fast boot......when i move that window it has another little window that says wasiting for scheduled service to start i close that and the boot vis window...
