Thanks for the reply. Turns out it was a faulty XP cd. Everything went smoothely after I bought a new SP2 disc. Me happy now!:D

Thanks for the replies garikfox and steamnputer. I got it to work. Turns out it was a faulty XP cd. Everything went smoothely after buying a brand new SP2 disc :) Anyways got to go read up on setting up a dual boot WinXP/Linux system:D Ciao.
