The problem was solved by disabling DHCP on RT2. I thought I needed it to be on so any wireless device could get an address from it. By having DHCP disabled, all addresses are assigned from the RSV4000.

PROBLEM Solved
I was having a network problem that I needed some smarter people that me to figure out.
My wireless router is assigning addresses to PCs not connected directly to it.
All wired network devices are 1.0 Gbps.
My configuration:
Speedstream DSL modem
Linksys RVS4000 VPN...
I installed the VIA 4in1 that came with the Mobo but had not downloaded the latest. That worked. and since I downloaded that one, VIA has poseted another.

THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED
System:
MOBO-Biostar M7VIG 400
VIA KM266 Pro chipset
Video Card-Nvidia 6600 8X 256MB
Memory- 1GB PC3200
HD-80 GB Maxtor ATA133
I loaded WinXP with SP1 and followed it with SP2.
It now takes almost 20 minutes for a restart.

Hi all,
I need help. This is the second time it has happened. 1st time I fixed it by loading a previous Ghost image of my system to get rid of the problem. Now 4 months later it's back and I would rather fix the problem than load a Ghost image.
