I agree. Its not so much IF a hard drive fails, rather WHEN it fails. I liked the Seagates even before the 5yr warranty revision. They run very quiet and fairly cool. My only 2 WDs that I owned failed after a year so I tend to gravitate away from that brand.

I agree 100% with Blain. I think you might need to decide what will be the primary function of this PC (i.e. Video/Audio editing vs. Gaming). If it is gaming, option 2 is the best setup. If it is Video/Audio editing, the dual CPU option #1 is the best.

Tough call, but I'd say go for the 6800GT. The 9800Pro is an awesome card, but I think (personal opinion) you could get a nice performance bump with the 6800GT on that system. I think the 6800GTs will lead performance vs. value for the next 9 months or so. Good luck to you!
