I never thought EBAY was so exciting!!!!!

You can post ebay here?:Q Anyway I bought a 486 computer from ebay last year for $19, shipping was $20 though. I was learning about computer so I use it as a test bed. After abusing it for a couple of months I get bored so I sold it again on ebay, and I got $50 back (shipping not included)...

Which of these can I "end task" and free up some RAM?

Looks like I am not alone.:D OK just after you finished boot up and before you go online, do a ctrl-alt-del, and anything except Explorer and Systray are disposable.

Don't you find it hilarious when this happens?

I was once in a CompUSA and saw a customer asking a salesperson why an ATI all-in-wonder video card cost twice as much as a TNT2 M64, "they all have 32mb of memory, so they must be the same, right?" And the salesperson told him "it's just different brand names."

I used to run a memory recovery utility in the backend which also displays available memory. When I have 64mb of ram, the available memory will decrease to 0 and the utility will release some ram every so offen. Later I added a 256mb stick so I am running 320mb total. I still keep the utility...

    Stupid OC question

By overclocing FSB you are overclocking not only your CPU but also your system memory, AGP device, PCI device, hard drive, etc. In many cases, these are where the performance bottleneck lies in, therefore you can get better performance boost by overclocking FSB.

Memory, CAS 2 or CAS 3

I'd keep the 256mb pc133 cas2 and forget about the others. 256mb is enough for just about any purpose, and adding the other ram will only hurt system perfromance.

Is lowering the voltage of a T-Bird OK?

Lower voltage produces less heat, so it's a good thing so long as it runs stable.
