i think dual core is nice in the respect that you can minimize a game, mess with another program, then restore the game with no trouble at all. i could never do this "easily" on a single core no matter what speed it was running... like bf2 and teamspeak is a good example.
it depends if you are using vista or xp. vista will only let you use the "control panel" thing with no overclock settings. in xp you have an option to use the classic side bar thing and it does have overclock settings. another way around this is to download nvidia ntune and it will allow gpu...
or go into the shortcut for it under properties and look at the "target" line in the window. at the end of the string put a single space and then type this "+szx 1440 +szy 900" (no quotes of course).
it should work if the config file does not do it.
