    Eyefinity Performance Review at HardOCP

I think the idea is not to turn your head side-to-side but rather to keep your focus forward as you would with a single-monitor setup and allow your peripheral vision to work in conjunction with the side monitors.

    Dell UltraSharp U2410 for $479.20

I'm in the final stages of putting together an Eyefinity rig, and the goal is to end up with 3x U2410. I've been waiting for a deal like this and I'm ready to jump. When I add all 3 U2410s to the cart and apply the coupon, though, I'm only getting the discount on one of the monitors; the other...

Asus p6x58D Premium arrived this morning, post questions here.

I'm actually off to Micro Center to place my order on this mobo right now. :) I still have a few other components on order so it'll be a bit before the build is ready, but this baby is going to be my platform of choice!

    Choosing between three 6GB kits

A little bump. I'm heading out to Micro Center tonight to purchase the ASUS P6X58D Premium motherboard that's going to be the platform for my new rig. I'm hoping to order the RAM this weekend. At the moment I'm leaning towards the Mushkins. I'd certainly be all ears if anyone has some...

Asus p6x58D Premium arrived this morning, post questions here.

I'll post a question. The general consensus is that the expansion slot layout won't allow for the use of the x1 slots when running in Crossfire. Do you feel this board's expansion slots are bunched together more than the average mobo? While I'm sure people are right that the use of the x1...

LUCID HYDRA 200: Worth Waiting or NOT?

The restrictions and compatibility list are certainly disappointing. I'm sure things will improve with driver revisions, but it's hard to get excited about the Hydra as things currently stand.

    Choosing between three 6GB kits

I'm in the process of building a new rig (details here). After initially looking to go with the 860/p55 combo, I've instead elected for a 920/x58 combo. The CPU is already purchased and the mobo will be ordered tomorrow. Now it's time to turn my attention to the RAM. I've narrowed things...

    Noctua NH-D14 availability

UPDATE: As of Monday morning, Sidewinder Computers has the NH-D14 in stock for $84. After shipping, my total order cost came to $93. If you're interested in the NH-D14, go ahead and take the plunge. I've ordered from Sidewinder before and have had very good luck with them. Now I'll just have...

    G.Skill F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO test results

6 GB is the sweet spot that I'm shooting for. For my uses, I think 8 GB would be overkill. I'll stick to an affordable 6 GB kit, but if I were buying into the p55 platform I would be all over this RAM.

    G.Skill F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO test results

I really wish this came in a 6 GB kit version, especially now that I've decided to go x58 over p55. Those results of the x58 look awesome, but I'm not buying two 4 GB kits and wasting one DIMM.

    High-cost p55 boards... worth it?

So I guess the consensus is to ditch the high-cost p55 boards and migrate over to x58 once mobo price begins to overlap. I'm a little surprised that no one spoke up in favor of the top-of-the-line p55 boards. Still, this isn't necessarily unwelcome advice for me. Based on my intended usage...

    P7P55D-E Premium vs. P7P55D-E Deluxe

I've been looking at these two boards as well. Going by the info on ASUS's site, I came away with the same differences between the two boards as you did (I also note that the Deluxe has 2 additional mid-board USB ports). The 32+3 phase power of the Premium would theoretically make it a better...

    New Set of Headphones?

He's specified that he needs a model that cups the ears. The ATH-AD700 sits on top of the ears, so it's out of the running.

    New Set of Headphones?

Ugh, I just realized I missed the part of the OP's post where he said the cans must be cups. Forget my suggestion of the ATH-AD700, then. Those Sennheiser's being recommended are a good choice. Another option may be the new Shure models; the SRH440 ($77) and the SRH840 ($146).

    Noctua NH-D14 availability

Thank you very much for the update! Without a doubt, this beast is going into my new system. Yet another glowing review came in today. That combination of cool and quiet can't be beat. I hear you, but in defense of the NH-D14, it does come with the necessary fans (unlike the Megahalems, for...
