AD / Remote Desktop / VPN

I suppose I don't understand the workings correctly. Say I want to get my workstation at home connected to the domain. How do I login to the domain with a user account IF I have to be logged into the client machine to start the VPN client? I hope that makes sense! Thanks.

AD / Remote Desktop / VPN

Hi All! I have a question that I need clarification on. I have a site that uses a Netgear FVS114 Firewall device with VPN support. Behind this device is a local Active Directory on Windows SBS 2003 R2. Ideally I would like to do secure remote administration from my home for this network. I...

BIOSTAR NF325-A7 BIOS Appears to Freeze

I can't figure out how to turn it off in the BIOS.... plus when I can't actually get to the BIOS it makes it kind of difficult.

BIOSTAR NF325-A7 BIOS Appears to Freeze

As mentioned in the topic title I'm running a BIOSTAR NF325-A7 motherboard, with a Sempron 64 3300+. I dual boot linux / Windows regularly and haven't had any problems until today. Today I decided to reboot my PC and when I did the BIOS appeared to freeze. The BIOSTAR splash screen appears...

    AMD Sempron 64 2800+ vs 2500+ XP @ 2.4gHz

I have the opportunity to change motherboards and use the Sempron CPU in the title. With my 2500+ XP at 2.4gHz what processor would you recommend regardless of the other hardware in the system. This is just a processor comparison and I don't know what is better. Thanks.

Need Hardware for PC -- Office Machine / 5 yr life

Well I checked out that 1 touch backup system and it seemed really expensive. I'm not sure whether my client will consider it worth it to be honest. All I can do is ask and I'll do that. As far as the database that is not in Access so Office Basic will do fine and I've already confirmed that...

I did before they got a license with their other system. Still likes MS stuff.. Not much I can do about that. It's not my money.

Need Hardware for PC -- Office Machine / 5 yr life

This customer doesn't want to use OpenOffice or Linux. I love both but it's not an option. At least you didn't give any bad comments on the build :) Also I don't think this user really needs XP Pro either. It's a very small office. Now I'm looking to see what I can do for the same hardware /...

Need Hardware for PC -- Office Machine / 5 yr life

I just wanted to say thanks for all the comments. It's funny though, there doesn't seem to be a mid-ground here. People either say get something really expensive (i.e. Core 2 Duo) or get something cheaper (i.e. Sempron). On a side note this machine will most likely contain a database of 3000...

Need Hardware for PC -- Office Machine / 5 yr life

Blain, I suppose you are right, but I would still like to price out a custom built system. I just don't know what chipset is good for a C2D that is not out of this world expensive.

I would still like to at least price a custom built system, but the motherboard seems to be the hurdle for me right now. I don't know what the best chipset is for a decent price.

Need Hardware for PC -- Office Machine / 5 yr life

Although I do agree Blain, but I'm trying to look 5 years out. 1GB isn't going to be the norm 5 years from now. I would want to say 2GB might be. With that aside I'm having real issues trying to find a Core 2 Duo MB that provides a decent set of features for a reasonable price (i.e. prob $100...
