    Will my PSU be enough?

Current setup: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 4 GB G.Skill DDR2 GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB Raptor 150 GB as OS drive 2 x Samsung 500 GB in RAID1 as data drive Thinking of upgrading with the following: - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 GHz - Sapphire Radeon HD 4890 1GB VAPOR-X Do you think my...

Ok, here are the results: mem 2.02 V, nb 1.26 V, boot windows, start wow, run around a bit, *BAM*, BIOS corrupt upon boot, recover to 0605 (had 1306 latest flashed before) mem 2.02 V, nb 1.30 V, boot windows, start wow, run for corpse, res, *BAM* mem 2.02 V, nb 1.40 V, boot windows, start...

    Memory errors, but not anymore?

Thanks, will give it a try when I get home. I don't mind running the memory at 5-5-5-15 as longs as my computer is stable. Hopefully giving the memory, and maybe NB, a bit more juice will work better.

    Memory errors, but not anymore?

Hmm... none of the stores I usually buy from here in Finland carries Crucial, but one of them has a large selection of G.Skill memory, such as the F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ (2 x 2 GB CL5 DDR2-800). I think I am running at default voltage now (1.8V). As it seems to run stable with 2 modules I am...

    Memory errors, but not anymore?

I am starting to get the impression that it just doesn't work stable with all four modules. Yesterday I just couldn't play WoW. It would blue screen (with funky messages like PFN_LIST_CORRUPT, as well as one VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT) just a minute or two after logging in to the game. What...

    Memory errors, but not anymore?

I don't know the order they were in originally, and the exact order they were placed in during 2-module and 4-module tests. When I tested one module at a time I wrote down a unique number I found on each module and the results. I'll keep my fingers crossed it works now. Btw, the modules...

    Memory errors, but not anymore?

Asus P5Q-E E6750 at stock speed with Ultra 120 Extreme 2 kits of Corsair TWIN2X2048-C4 (4 x 1 GB total) Leadtek GF8800 GTS 512 MB at stock speeds Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit I previously had a P5E motherboard which gave me a lot of headache. I attributed this to overheating the RAM for...

Is my graphics card giving up?

Oh, and "stuff" was a body fat monitor which weighs exactly 252 grams. Not too heavy but half a meter of fall gives it some velocity.

Is my graphics card giving up?

Now this is just odd. As I mentioned I removed everything out of the chassi and assembled it on my desk yesterday and it still did not work. Last night I did a fresh install of Vista on another harddrive and installed the Nvidia driver and it would crash when updating my "Performance rating"...

Is my graphics card giving up?

Hmm... then how come I can run MemTest86+ without any problems? (that should stress the memory) The Corsairs are 2.1V. Voltage is set to auto in BIOS.

Is my graphics card giving up?

It has crashed/hung several times before that incident and the graphics card was firmly secured in the chassi and so was the cable/adapter to the card. I'd be very surprised if this damaged the GPU (it's not like I dropped an ACME 1 TON weight off my desk). I have tried re-seating the card. A...

Is my graphics card giving up?

From my point of view: - if the memory is faulty, incompatible with the motherboard or overheating I should not be able to run MemTest86+ successfully (standard tests, one full run done successfully) - I have not tested the CPU yet, but I have no reason to suspect it at the moment -...

Is my graphics card giving up?

I February I build a new computer: - Asus P5E - Intel E6750 - Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4 (2 set for a total of 4 GB) - Leadtek GF8800 GTS 512 MB - Vista Ultimate 64-bit It started out working just fine but after a few weeks it would hang. Vistas memory diagnostics said my memory was bad...

To RAID or not to RAID?

That is the question... The motherboard I bought has the ICH9R which supports Intel Matrix Storage (RAID 0/1/5/10). I currently have 2 x 250 GB SATA drives. I could run them in RAID1, or chose not to. (RAID0 is not an option for me) Pros: * increased security * somewhat better read...
