This is like digging up the grave again but i would like to add that i have a dual socket 940 motherboard with pci express with 16GB of DDR1. I also have 4GB sticks of DDR1 i could load in and get 32GB of ram total for DDR1. Some reason Microsoft doesn't want to support 64bit on my cpus either -...
Hes right about 4Gb of ram. Especially if your trying to run Chrome or any other program that requires a lot of memory. Using the internet can hog around 1-1.5GB of memory. If you got any other programs running then you could run into trouble.
This is a plus that i've been thinking ever since mantle came up. Once DX12 is available it wont really be updated much at all for years to come. Who wants to have to keep reinstalling windows just for another DX. Mantle will make it possible for everyone to enjoy the latest features without...
The future is mainly multicores at this point. Processors are just generating too much heat now. If they could just reduce the amount of heat then we could get more cores. Eventually we wont able to get much higher at all. There will be a time where cores and clock speed will reach a peak where...
Make a motherboard with a high end gpu onboard. Make the cases smaller. Make the screens that come with these computers more bigger. 285x on the motherboard. To appeal to the minimum income people make the computers dirt cheap. ITX motherboard with everything onboard but with lots of memory...
I don't think its gonna be a cut and paste more cores this time for AMD. Most likely they are going to rework the cpu design itself for improved ipc. Have to see what happens. DDR4 will be around also so it will be interesting to see what that will do also.
It will be 20 real cores. They got a new top tier engineer from the successful days of the Athlon 64. I'm sure its possible. Windows 9 and Directx12/Mantle will take advantage of the core count better. The future will be multicore. Clock speed is over with. You can't get much faster anymore...
Use the modified drivers like i said ;). If the newer version of the modified drivers don't work then use the older ones. Can be picky with the latest version.
Got quadfire 4890s and 4200 ati laptop onboard video to work also in 8.1. Gotta go to advance options and enable unsigned drivers. Gotta install modified drivers from guru3d forum. Gotta use modified drivers now in days to get anything working decently on legacy hardware...
They want to be the slower console it seems. Once the ps4 starts to fully utilize Mantle we will see them immediately change their minds. It wont be that long before they say "its compatible now". PS4 will be getting smooth frame rates while Xbox1 chugs and stutters in battle scenes. Mantle...
After other api's have been maxed out they will have no choice but to go mantle. Mantle could double or even tripple the performance in theory. Mantle will be on consoles, pc, and steambox most likely. No other api other than opengl has that reach. Its only logical to use mantle.
Yes, i got a GeForce 2mx to work on 7 with a windows 2000 driver. For super old cards use 32bit win7 with win2000 or xp drivers. Its a hit or miss usually.
