Ok, I hit some paydirt today. I tried a buddies router and my laptop and received the very same results buuuuuuut, I downloaded this program to test the ports.

I downloaded the programs and ran them. Found a lot of other problems that I corrected but still no open port.
I really so appreciate you guys helping me with this. Thank you for all of the great ideas. This one just has me stumped. Sooooo aggravating.:mad:
I found another networking community that asked me to run a program called Minitoolbox.exe. It provided a host of info but this forum won't let me post it here.

While I was looking around the internet for a fix I found this post. He was having the same problem I am and he is on the same cable provider in NC. I am not sure what this fix is though. I can't find the same problem in my adapter and I don't know what fix he is pointing too as the link doesn't...
I agree with you. I have the very same results checking for open ports using my laptop on an ethernet connection to the router and directly to the modem.
We have tried an ARRIS router modem, a Ubee router modem (both in bridge mode) and are now using a motorola modem. All with the same problem. We checked the ports during game play and they all say closed.
