This card is *not* a mac tailored 9000, it is much slower than a radeon 9000. It is the original radeon chipset, which is basically a slower version of the radeon 7500. it was the next chip ATI released after the rage pro i believe. can't comment on the deal b/c i haven't priced mac vid cards...

I can confirm that this is indeed the built by ATI, full sealed retail box version, not an OEM or powered by ATI. Great deal! -cb

hmm good point about the coupon... hopefully they'll have another $10 off $40. Going in for a price adjustment is risky, since they may look at what you paid for it after the coupon when giving you money back (for instance, you go now and pay $59.99 - 10 = $49.99, and they only give you 5 bucks...

Also note that unless you're overclocking, PC2700 is going to give you zero benefit on that motherboard (vs. PC2100). This is the same with all Athlon motherboards, as a matter of fact. Unless you intend to overclock, I would just go to Best Buy or CompUSA this week, and pick up the cheap PNY...

well, the compatibility problems are mostly gone, but they still have problems with PCI bus bandwidth, latency issues, etc... dont want to start a flame war here, for those that like VIA this deal WAS smokin'... looks like its dead now though, as other people have pointed out.

never buying a via-based motherboard again... but for those that laugh in the face of danger, this is a hot deal :D

How about this for a scsi backplane? fairly cheap, but i dunno if it's any good. Fits in 2x 5.25" bays. That combined with 3 of the hitachis = teh win :D

is this a ultra160 drive? Looking up that model number at hitachi's website gives DK32DJ-72 (without the ME) as a u160/u320/FC drive... does the ME mean anything different? -colonblow edit: Link to the hitachi specs for this drive (non-ME model)... my question still stands, anyone know?
