The X64 X1950XTX CAT 6.9 Drivers are now available, grab them HERE and follow the same procedure as the 32 bit ones detailed in my original post. For those who like the X32 NON CCC version of the drivers where the settings are integrated with no need for .NET 2.0 as shown here...

You're welcome :) The repeating new hardware thing I've not heard of so that's a bit of a mystery. Have you installed the 6.9 WDM and CCC components from ATI after installing the new modified drivers? Which I belive should be done. Or it could be something from the supplier package that's...

That was pretty much it, there were six INF files to add various bits of data to and bingo it all came together like a treat.
