cheers for your advice! although, in my entire experience in burning (both CDR and DVDR), i've never burned a coaster and I've used numerous brands (both cheap and brand name). back when 4x was the max speed and only 650mb CDRs were available. maybe i just have been that lucky! :) thanks...
