Well, to be fair I don't know what the current rule is... some sites are off limits to mention, then they aren't, they change things. I don't see people doing it, and I've seen some comments about not doing it so as it was my first deal post ever I showed caution. YOUR deal trended and got...
Thank you for posting this! It didn't make it on to the other deal sites I check, where it ironically fits in better than here.... so it is very appreciated. I posted on another forum but I'm not allowed to give credit to other sites/users but if you are on that site and stumble on it message me...
I have a Cable Matters USB 3.0 to Dual-SATA Hard Drive Docking Station with Standalone Clone Function that I am using to clone a 240GB SanDisk II Ultra to a 960GB SanDisk II Ultra Drive.
The smaller drive contains all my files and OS (Windows 10). When I clone the drives the new larger drive...
Thanks for the input and info.
Raid 1 isn't for backup? If it mirrors 2 drives what is the purpose if not for backup. I'm fine with it not being because I have offline backup to a 2TB drive already and will continue to do so... but that statement made me question what I thought to be the case =)
Just picked one of these up off Buy.com for $100...
My usage is simple home backup of multiple computers and streaming of music/vidoes, and I would guess my storage needs are about 1.5TB.
Is my best bet to pick up 2 of the 3TB WD Red drives and set up in raid for protection, or do people...
What power supply would work best with this small case if all I want to do is use it to run windows 8 and a single hd, no optical.. I know my normal psu won't fit.
I apologize for not being more clear. Your answer, however, answered my question. I wasn't sure based on the recent use of the AM1 socket if it was compatible with AM2+. I assumed it wasn't but because of the major use of AM1 I hoped it was a tier issue... as in AM1 is best, AM2 is not as good...
I don't know much about sockets. I have a HTPC currently with a AMD Phenom II X4 940 BE, and a ASUS HD6450 silent (low profile).
Since this case says it can use a standard PSU would this motherboard/case be a good fit?
It is listed as an AM1 processor, while mine is a AM2+ , but I don't know...
I have a windows 8 media center machine that I can't use because the graphics card is a R4830-T2D512 with 2 DVI ports but 0 HDMI. Though I have a cable that converts, it hasn't worked no matter what I have tried.
I would like to pick up a cheap HDMI card that is better than my R4830-T2D512...
