Why do you want an SLI board with an ATI vid card? You will either not use the second PCIe slot, or have to get two Nvidia cards later if you want to use the SLI capabilities.
If you are going with an ATI card, I would recommend the boards with crossfire capability, as you won't be able to use two ATI cards in an SLI motherboard. If you have to have an SLI motherboard, then you can only use Nvidia vid cards if you need more than 1 card.
Yes, a SINGLE ATI card will work in an SLI motherboard, but that still leaves the second PCI-e slot unusable. If you are never going to use a dual vid card setup, why buy the second slot?
