ok...well i have this WD 13 gig 5400 RPM HD that works well..only it doesnt like to slaved and it wont show up in win2k as a drive when in ide3 or 4......now when the highpoint bios loads up...the HD is detected...but there is no drive in the OS....also....I cant use my Primary HD (maxtor 27 gig...

So now my sound skips while i play songs (mp3 or wav)....not sure why...there are no current drivers for awe32 under win2k....but i had no prob before the MB upgrade....not sure what it could be,...any help here? AMD 1 gig oced to 1.13... 256 pc150 Kingmax RAM MAxtor 27 gig 7200 WD 13 gig 5400...

ok..im wondering...do you have to have the EXACT same HD if you want to use raid? Meaning speed and size? Also I was wondering how I can use the ata66 abiblity of my HD's with the new kt7a-raid board. DO i have to use those promise 66 drivers? How do i do this? Thanks for any help.. chuta

here is what i figured out....a 1 gig tbird, kt7a abit, 256 pc150 ram + shipping is 552$ (from step) anywhere else..the chip will be 176....but then the mobo will be 180 from the same company...or even 170.....and then the ram will be a min of 160$ (for good ram)....plus a taisol with arctic...

oh..and niard...can you give me the 1 800 from step? Kinda trying to reach them...thanks.. chuta

well..im trying to call them now...in reference to price....thier MB's ram and cpu's are great prices.....so even if I get it without a fan in other places...id never find all the things I need at that cheap of a price. So that means ill have to pay extra shipping fora ll these things...so in...

you know...i kinda had the same problem with my card...it ended up being that my card wasnt in all the way. The metal where you screw the card in place seemed to be to low for the MB....so maybe thats it.....push it in as hard as you can...i even bent the metal so now it fits perfect.... chuta

Id like to buy some stuff from Step thermodynamics..BUT....i just read a BUNCH of crap from ppl saying its not very good...and then others saying its great. Id like to know if anyone here had any dealings with them...thanks chuta
