I found this discussion (link) which seems to be helping. The Handyrecovery 2.0 utility worked for one file (1/day with demo), but the free v1.0 did not work. I am going to try one or two of the others before purchasing the program. If anyone else has a suggestion, let me know.

That is something that I noticed to. My rear USBs have items plugged in and no problem booting. I once had my iPod Shuffle plugged into the front port of the case, and no boot up. I think that I have been able to boot with a game pad pluuged in, so maybe it is only when the device has data in it?

I'm running XP Pro, which I would think would have the drivers. Doesn't seem to be the case for me though.

What USB 2.0 drivers are you using? where did you get them? If possible give me a link or file name. I just updated my BIOS to 1.4 last night and updated all of the nVidia drivers to the most recent versions. I still don't have USB 2.0 capabiltities on any of the ports. VERY frustrating.

I'm running the 480W version of the second power supply with no power related issues. However, I am not OCing.

What I saw in that thread was I should cut/disconnect a wire. Isn't there another way? I don't get why both MSI and Antec advertise USB 2.0, but they aren't working that way.
