I'm looking to wirelessly network my PC and laptop. 802.11a is beyond my budget so I'm looking at picking up a wireless SMC Barricade 802.11b router and an Orinoco 802.11b Silver PC card. How will this wireless combination on my laptop handle streaming video from my cable internet connection...
Hi, I just got an audigy and z-560 set as well. I don't know why your volume is dropping. However, when I got my set I looked on 3dsoundsurge.com's forum for suggested volume levels. They said to leave the master volume in the surround mixer at a notch below 100% (I interpreted that as 90%)...
This is probably a simpler suggestion than you're after, but I got this advice on 3dsoundsurge.com. They said to leave the bass/treble level in the surround mixer (if you're using an audigy) at 50% and to put the master volume in the mixer one notch below 100%. They said that speaker volume...
Can anyone point me to some good speaker stands for a set of Logitech Z-560's? I've got a set on order but from what I can tell they don't include stands.
What about the 2/4 AGP divider, is it broken as well in the current BIOS revision? What I'm interested in is being able to upgrade to a 533 mhz FSB Northwood P4 processor down the line.
I was reading through the manual for the TH7-II and I saw that in the BIOS you could set the AGP speed/multiplier to "Fix." It said that this would fix the speed of the AGP to 66 mhz no matter what you had the FSB overclocked to. My question is, does this feature fix the PCI bus to 33 mhz as well?
I've been planning to pick up a set of Klipsch Promedia 5.1's for a while now. I read on these forums though that the Audigy's 24 bit, 96 Khz output is available only through it's digital output. Since the Promedia's only hook up to the analog outputs on the Audigy, would I be missing out...
I've read alot of people write that next years AGP 8x will be useless so I'm not going to wait for it and I'm going to build a new AGP 4x system in about a month. My question is, how much of AGP 4x is being utilized now and how effective will it be going forward (on games like Unreal 2 and Doom...
A new company called Solarism is getting good reviews. They make extra-bright LCD's that are supposed to be good for gaming. You can check it out at www.solarism.com
I think http://firingsquad.gamers.com/ reviewed their 15" one.
I'm conidering getting one of the nForce boards that comes out in a month or so. However, I may want to later upgrade to one of the nForce Crush 17/18 boards that come out next year. These second generation boards will support DDR 333 RAM. To save on costs I'd like to use the same set of ram...
All the previews I've read say that nForce will have an agp 4x slot. But the nVidia site says in the Features and Benefits section of it's IGP description that the agp slot will be 4x/8x. You can check it out here...
