HDMI would be cool coz the monitor does support it.
It seems in Aus the gtx260 is about $350 with the 4870 about $320
so it is tempting to go gtx260
but i think i might be spending too much
whoah totally forgot to add specs,
well it would get a p5q-e mother, 4gig ddr2 6400 ram, q9450 cpu, corsair 620hx PSU
I have a samsung 2493hm montitor i think runs at 1900*1200 res native.
hey all,
trying to decide between these video cards leaning towards 4850 but is it the best for the price or is it worth the extra to get a 4870.
Also out of Saphhire Gigabyte and asus who is the best ATI manufacturer in australlia im kinda limited with my options which sucks,
Thanks...
oh really,
Ive been stuck using nvidia since forever and really wanted to go a asus or gigabyte coz i know they are quite decent.
Maybe i was getting sapphire confused with sparkle
I hadnt even thought of getting a 4870 but they are cheap...so cheap.
Seriously how can they sell a 4850 for 300 at centre com when you can get a 4870 for 40 more bucks.
I think i might wait for a few better brands to join in though. I dont know if i trust GeCube
damn stupid confusing stuff LOL
oh well looks like ill get a 4850, seems to be getting lower in price quicker than a 9800gtx in aussie too. Geez we get ripped off sometimes
aNy1 know if the Physix Support on the 9800gtx is gonna push it past what the 4850 can dish out. Since the new drivers enable that and the CUDA CPU support thingy
Hey guys
So after much research ive decided to ditch SLI.
System is
CPU: Q9450
Motherboard: Arrrggghhhh11111
Ram: 4g Corsair DDR800
HD: WD 600g SATA
Video: 512 asus 8800gt
Monitor 24" Samsung 2493 LCD
case: coolermaster 690
PSU: Corsair 620-HX
But i STILL need to pick...
but then when you did get an AGP motherbaord you couldnt upgrade ur card in 2 years coz PCI express replaced em all.
thats why i want the PCI ex 2.0 just in case
Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the help, ive pretty much decided to go with an intel single GPU set up.
I had a look at the P35 but couldnt find a board that had PCI express 2.0, since i want to be able to put a new card in it in a few years this is bad right?
Is there a Asus or Gigabyte...
What we really need is a p35 vs p45 vs 750iFTW benchmark or something for a single card to see if the complaints are really that justified.
Its all so confusing.
I like the 750i FTW seems like a pretty damn good board. But if the P35/45 is better for a single GPU then since im...
So Ive been looking at some P45 boards, and they are a bit cheaper than the evga 750i FTW. But seem more suited to crossfire and i really want to stick with the Nvidia GPU.
So In closing if indeed p45 is a btter route than the 750i whats a good board. Does anyone have any feedback on a Asus...
So if i was being convinced that maybe SLI wasnt the best decision, and really will only run 1 nvidia card. What new motherboard should i be getting.
Asus and Gigabyte are the easiest to get a hold of in OZ, but are they any good. I have only done research on nvidia chipsets so i have no idea...
