Some 19in LCD monitor by SOYO that I got on Black Friday.
Using a VGA cable in a VGA to DVI adapter.
Yes, I've tried a different cable and an adapter.
I don't have a DVI cable to try.
It's probably not the cable because the same monitor/cable works fine with my integrated graphics.
It posts fine without the dead RAM but video card still doesn't work. If I have the dead stick in it, it won't beep on startup but if I use what I'm using now it will beep.
It was working fine before. My friend is coming over today so I'll get to test stuff in his system.
My computer won't even post when my dead RAM is in. I updated my BIOS. It worked on 32-bit OS like 2 days ago(and months prior) just said "Installed memory(RAM): 4.00 GB (3.25 GB usable)". Pretty sure my RAM's dead. I emailed G Skill to possibly replace it. The real issue here is my video card...
My HIS 4850 is not being detected or something. The fan is running at I think full speed but I'm incapable of detecting it in Windows and I get the No Signal crap on my monitor. I thought(and still kinda think/hope) it was my RAM because one of my sticks died but I can run my OS fine with 1 2...
