I appreciate your response. you hit it right on the nail! that's exactly what I did and it solved my problem, purchased a converter with external power (electrical outlet) and now the loss of image is no longer an issue. there was no need to get a new projector... that's why these converters...

My laptop only has HDMI, my projector is VGA only... the cable is 25ft long and the image is not getting through on the screen, I've been told the cable is too long, that the converter is not good quality etc... etc... can anyone give some advice on what I should do? should I buy a new/better...
