Interesting, when did you live in Chicago? The burbs you're right, but in the city neighborhoods I feel that people are relatively fit. Might not've been that way in the 80s and 90s, but nowadays pretty good.

Your "under 24" requirement is going to make this really hard. If it were me, I would get a 24" 1920x1200 monitor (like this one for example: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1569519-REG/acer_um_fc1aa_001_conceptd_cm2_24_ips.html) and then get a fully adjustable monitor arm to get it down...

Welp, I went for it. I got my 2x 27" monitors set up. Ordered the LG C3 42" to replace my 34" ultrawide. Yeah, it won't be as seamless as the 24" portrait monitors, but the 27" monitors were free from work and work great. Excited to get everything going!

Interesting! My setup would be more like 55-60 inches across, but it looks like I sit quite a bit further back than you (I'd possibly wall mount the LG, which would be 36-46" away), and the angle of the side monitors would be quite a bit less. Thanks for the info! gives me something to think...
