Overclocked the MacPro, but how to test it?

Ok, so I took my MacPro from 3.0 to 3.3 and wanted to see the difference, I ran Geekbench in 64bit any my score hovered between 6100 and 6200, same as before the over clock. Any one have any idea why? Is there a better bench for the Mac, or even a 3D type bench like 3DMark?

Mac Pro and the memory latency issue

Sorry for the late response, but I've got 6GB and not a single problem... performance in UB applications is blazingly fast!

Quake IV frame rates.. paging the gammer crowd..

Didn't know ATI was limited to 6x, I have the 16x option in the menu, but here is the info.. The following is from barefeats.com. When they say "enter console", type CTRL OPTION ~ If you would like to test your own Mac against those we featured, just be sure to have the 1.2 patch for...

Quake IV frame rates.. paging the gammer crowd..

So even though I'm not much into gaming, I went and installed Quake IV with the SMP (multi CPU) patch to see what kind of performance I can get from this system. I know that Mac games are poorly optimized, and little time/money is spent on the ports for obvious commercial reasons, but I...

    My Mac Pro came yesterday..

I probably don't "need" this much power, as I do part time DV Editing for aviation safety (I'm a pilot by profession), but I like the fast workflow, and I love the OS X work environment. I could have done fine with a high end iMac

    My Mac Pro came yesterday..

Smartazz, good question.. never been one to try a thing like that, but I'm sure a well trained computer hack could do it.. Unix and OS X are both open source, and the drivers are almost the same as on a PC.. so the effort is all it takes. BTW.. I spec'd a Dell 690 with the same stuff I have...

    My Mac Pro came yesterday..

I still have the old PowerBook G4, as the MacPro has had too many problems for me to get one just yet... Plus it's good to have a PPC machine around incase there is a non UB App I need to run... Kind like why I have XP on one of my partitions.. As for Games.. I don't game, I admit.. albeit...

    Info on case material needed

I know Apple uses Aluminum to dissipate heat, as there is physical heat transfer between components and the case, even if it's very little, compared to what is being cooled with forced air, every little bit helps.

    My Mac Pro came yesterday..

Mainly FCP5.1 but also the iApps.. iphoto, iTunes, iDVD, Mail, etc.. they're all so much more "snappy" Encoding is where the money is earned here though.. for sure.

Also, this is interesting I thought... Apple isn't the rip off that some think: http://www.newsfactor.com/news/Mac-Pro-...rice/story.xhtml?story_id=12100708D35G

    My Mac Pro came yesterday..

I spent the best part of yesterday setting it up with the additional drives, memory, and transferring data off of a laptop and a desktop.. all went more or less trouble free. Setting up the RAID was too easy, and the performance of the RAID Array is awesome. The only bench mark I've run so...
