Which DVI cable do i need to hook up my X800 XL PCI-e to my 930b Samsung

You're right about the monstercables. A guy at radio shack tried to sell me a DVI cable for $130! I told him that was a rip off and he started feeding me BS about why the price is justified. He said the cable cleans your electricity. I'm not kidding.

How good is a Samsung SyncMaster 930b monitor?

I have a 930B. I'm loving the 8ms response time and the colours really pop out at me. Great picture! But... I had to go through 3 of these things before I got one that didn't have a lot of backlight bleeding along the top edge. Two of the ones I returned had more than a few dead pixels as...

Do you think there's something wrong with my 2005FPW?

That's some pretty awful backlight bleeding there. You can try 'rubbing it out' with an antistatic cloth. With a firm hand, stroke the screen from the edge to the centre wherever there's bleeding. It *does* actually work in some cases. If you can't rub it out, I'd say return it. I just...

Do LCD monitors have burn-in issues?

    Can the backlight be replaced?

Do ALL LCDs have SOME backlight issues?

Response time (ie: rise and fall time) is extremely important to those of us who want to use LCDs for gaming and movies. The amount of ghosting from, say, a 25ms LCD is tremendous when playing games and can, in some cases, render the game practically unplayable.

Do ALL LCDs have SOME backlight issues?

All LCDs have a little bit of bleeding. The best you can hope for is that the bleeding is minimal and uniform accross the whole screen (some users would consider such a screen to be 'perfect'). No LCDs can disply true black as of yet.

Backlight issue with 2405 or is this just an LCD thing?

Those pics don't look too bad. My Samsung 930B is worse, with noticeable backlight bleed along the top edge. 'Course, I'm returning mine for a replacement today, so I guess it's just up to personal preference. With the cost of large LCDs, I tend to be pretty picky

    I wanna try a 930B

Same here. The 930B has no ghosting when playing games (that I can see) and the colors are very vibrant. I have the same backlighting issue though, along the top edge.

Samsung 730B/930B DVI Question *Can someone please answer soon?

You don't *need* a DVI cable for the 930B, but the picture will look better with it. I'm not sure what the difference between the different cables is; I'm new to this mysefl :P

930B issues with WOW and Doom3?

That's odd. By design LCDs do not flicker at low refresh rates, as CRTs. Nickma, the blur in WoW is ghosting. You can't change that by tweaking your drivers; it's there because of the way the LCD works. All LCDs have ghosting, but with an 8ms response, the 930B has very little compared...

    POLL: Samsung 930B Blacklight Bleeding

My 930B has bleeding along the top edge. It's not horrible, and I've seen much worse on other LCDs, but it keeps distracting me. I'm exchanging it for a second one this weekend. The 930B is amazing otherwise.

    Samsung 930b+Bad framerates??????????????

You should be able to up the refresh rate in the driver settings. The 930b might not support 100Hz though. Even with an 8ms response time, ghosting would counter any benefit of running with a 100Hz refresh. An LCD doesn't exist yet that will satisfy the needs of hardcore first-person-shooter...
