    Apple announces CarPlay

Meh. I'll stick with my 3.5mm for now. And a map. You find more interesting things with a map because you can't read it :D

Tim Cook: Doing Right and Just Before Profits

Saw this on MacRumors... and this is why apple is doing well as a company. They could be rolling head over heels (well, they already are) in profits, but they put a lot of it back into sustainability projects. Good job, Apple!

Apple retires Snow Leopard from support, leaves 1 in 5 Macs vulnerable to attacks

Oh apple... pay $3k for a decent computer, and be forced to upgrade within 5 years because software isn't supported. Nice...

Electronics in Rice for Water Damage

And you know, corrosion and stuff from the water + electricity might (o_O) have a bit to do with this. The flux probably does affect the device, but the corrosion of the minerals in water will kill a device.

How long does it take a dying HD to die?

Could die next minute, could last another couple years. SMART errors aren't really that helpful except to tell when to get a replacement drive, from what I have read they do not provide accurate EOL estimates. Does it give SMART errors in another scanner or is it only HD Sentinel?

Apple retires Snow Leopard from support, leaves 1 in 5 Macs vulnerable to attacks

This is what gets me about apple... I mean Microsoft supported XP for 10 years, snow leopard is only roughly 4 years old, and if it is so vulnerable it should at least have an update to it. I know a lot of guys still running Snow Leopard. As manly said, computer OS's should be updated for more...
