    Quick question about my new CPU.

    I put together this computer yesterday, and I ordered an EPOX 8k3a mobo w/ a CPU AMD|1700+266 ATHLON 1.47G XP . On bootup and in system info (winxp) it tells me that I have a 1100 CPU, I'm assuming 1.1 G. Did I recieve the wrong CPU or is there some sort of config that I need to do to the MOBO?

    I'd like to use my computer as a DVD player, and also use my TV as a monitor? I understand that the TV won't serve as the best monitor, but humor me :) What's the cheapest acceptable solution? I'm looking for video card suggestiions, and also DVD drive suggestions. Does anyone have anything...

    This is for a friend. Just need some help with picking the right parts. He wants to play DVDs and he wants to use his TV as a monitor. He also wants a burner. Those are probably the 3 primary requirments. Games would be the secondary one. What do you guys suggest?
