Thanks for the reply. I knew about the dma and had it checked, but I was wondering about the generic driver. I can find something else to worry about now;) We old farts need to stick together, those puppies around here think they know it ALL. Trouble is some of them do and rub it in to much:D

No driver came with the oem maxtor 7200 20 gig drive. Winblows calls the drive a generic type 47. I can find no drivers on the maxtor site or at windrivers. Is type 47 driver all I need? :confused:

Pay the few bucks extra and get an Antec case/power supply. Ask anyone who has one, they will have nothing else. Any SX case is great, get the size that best fits your needs. The side door alone is worth the price difference, to say nothing about the craftmenship on the inside and out. I doubt...

The furnace filter will trap a tad more dust, but the AC filter gives a better air flow,take the one best for you. The name of the game is having fun :)

Check the Fabric Dept. at Wal-Mart ect. and get some self stick velco to hold the filter in place, use just the side with the hooks. That should cover some holes also, so all the air goes through the filter.
