This month I upgraded from a Q6600 @3.25Ghz on Asus P5K (P35) to a Ryzen 1600 and Aurus gaming 7. Already had a 970GTX. So a similar situation. Mainly play Bf1. If you are playing 1080p the 1600 seems more than enough. Also got an 860 EVO M.2, as it is much cheaper than NVME drives.
Thanks for the reply. It could be some sort of conflict. Its strange though, as I select it from the menu, go back in to the menu, G15 is deselected. Select it again, and it works. PS my G15 is battered , but I just really like the display. Too bad they don't make it anymore.
Im playing BF1 on a Q6600 @ 3.25Ghz with a GTX970 4GB at 1080 on a P35 chipset Asus mb. Interesting thing is that the P35 is a PCIe v1.1 mb, wheres the GTX970 is PCIe v3 compliant. It seems to work OK though. I need to upgrade, but am enjoying playing BF1 with this setup.
Hi, Please ignore if inappropriate, but the G15 mini applet always requires me to select it twice from the menu, before it activates. Just wondered if you know what I am doing wrong. Thanks. Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz, P35, 8G DDR2, 9700, W10.
I'm playing Battlefield1 quite happily on a Q6600 @ 3.00Ghz with 8GDDR2/SSD. Interesting thing is the P35 chipset in my Asus P5K m/b is PCIe v1.1 whereas my GT970 4G is PCIe v3 compatible, but it works fine.
