There should be an option in the "Gameplay Settings" screen. Scroll down to "Ryder's Helmet" and "Teammate's Helmet" and set it to how you want. I like using "As Equipped".

This is the correct answer if you want to buy a chair. If you want go for the DIY method, get a really nice car seat (Mercedes S class or Volvo). Then make your own chair base. You can probably hook up some sort of inverter to power the mechanicals and seat warmers.

That only helps with the UI. The map and people in it will not get different colours. So red/green colour blind people will just see shades of grey.

It is not kills that lets you buy class weapons. It is class based points gained. You can rank up really quickly by PTO'ing and doing class based actions. Killing will get you there but definitely slower. BF1 really rewards playing the objective than previous games. I am already class rank 11...
