i have been running a p3 600e @ 810mhz in my system for a year or so now. someone gave me a p3 850e the other day... so i threw it in my system.... it won't even run stable at 850mhz..... when it gets into win2k it just freezes....... i've played w/ the voltage..... tried everything between...
GOT IT! i forgot about something........ i had all my stuff saved on cdr's so they were marked as read only and weren't archive files... so i had to change the properties....
thanks for the help

its still giving me illegal operations........ im not sure if it makes a difference but my old install was from a win2k install and this is a 98se install... which of those files in the 2000b folder is it... does it need all of them.

i copied the 2000b folder over and when i start icq it asks me if im a new user or existing user and connection type and so forth..... the normal stuff when you first install.... then i put in existing user and when it tries to start icq it throws up an illegal operation.

i just did another format and reinstall... i saved my old icq folder and i want to find the file that includes my contact list so i can load it in my new install of icq. could anyone shine some light on where i can find this file?

win ME stinks...... choosing between 98se and Me is like picking your poison..... if you want to build a stable system now win2k is incredibly stable...... ive been running it for 5-6 months w/o one OS crash yet. (knock on wood).
