    Large Hard Drive issue

I'm not too sure about it, but if you use partition magic under DOS you can create partitions bigger than 128gb. I have done so on my 160gb : 6gb primary, the rest extended with some logical drives. Whenever I run a disk doctor on Win9x or DOS, a message appears than there is an invalid extended...

Memory : Slower but in sync with FSB or faster?

Well, I tested it with my Athlon XP 2000 (FSB 266). I forced the RAM to run at DDR266 and run Sandra (it also run by default at CL2). Going from DDR266 to DDR333 I only have a 4.46% faster memory with a 25% faster memory bus... So if you do the calculations, going from 333 to 400 is a 20%...

    athlon xp 2700, or xp 2700 333???

You can identify who is who from the code they have. AXDA2700DKV3D the one you posted is : Athlon XP 2700, 333FSB, 256 L2 cache The last letter is the FSB of the CPU. D is for 333, C is for 266 and B is for 200 The number before that (3 in your case) is the L2 cache and it stands for 1=64kb...

Memory : Slower but in sync with FSB or faster?

Hi all I have a Gigabyte GA-7VAXP Ultra with the KT400 (not the 'A') and I'm planning to upgrade my cpu to Atholn 3000XP (FSB 333). The KT400 doesn't support FSB400 and that's why I can't upgrade to 3200XP. The point is that this chipset has only limited support on DDR400. I checked Kingston's...

Cheap 550W PSU or expensive 450W?

I definately do NOT need that much power (550) @cerb : I certainly need over 350 though. My current PSU is a 350 and it can't support my FX5900 and I'm stuck with the old GF2MX.. :( It's pretty strange that my cousin's 360W could handle the card and he has almost the same system with mine!! Both...

Cheap 550W PSU or expensive 450W?

I have been searching for a while for a new PSU because I bought an FX5900 and my current PSU (says 350W) can't take the extra load!! I have never cared much about PSUs (because I have never upgraded it) but I was thinking about buying 550W for 25E (euros). The brand is not known so I only count...
