when I was shopping and deciding on which board to buy, most buyers seem to really like this board for their AMD processor, and it has a heck of a lot of reviews compared to the other boards newegg has to offer. Is it possible that it was just a bad board, or a bad processor that they sent me?

how do I check my bios version, or voltage reading? When the cpu is installed I don't get any post at all, when the cpu is out is the only time i get a post from my motherboard and it says "no cpu installed"
