32x CDRW and Sound card problem Windows 2000

hey guys, please help me out. I have the cendyne 32x12x48 CDRW (Mitsumi) as a slave and HP9100i as the master (on different IDE cables). The 32x CDRW is connected on the same IDE as the hard drive. The problem is, when I start the PC, the logon music in Win2k is so screwed up, and the CPU usage...

    (Dead)CenDyne "32x12x40" (Lite-ons & Mitsumi 16BM buffer) "$64.99" AR & coupon or $34.99 w/successful PM at OfficeMax

Yo Mystic(CDRW)man1, I agree with you that I should go for the 32x CDRs (I have a couple of Imation spindles), but just wanted to finish the 8x CDRs, thats when I start noticing that the Lite-On Drive is very very picky about the media. This is not good as they advertize the drive having Smart-X...

something wrong about the lite-on drives. :( I am able to burn data or copy cds onto Kingston Hypermedia (8x) that I got a year ago, burning at 8x (the slowest selectable speed), but the CD is not recognized in any drive/CD player, even though nero says burning completed successfully. On the...

well, My AOpen drive works like a charm. the "justlink" and "justspeed" technologies are awesome...copied an audio CD with 19 songs (78 minutes~680 MB) in 4:22. Sweet!!! I saw the Z-CLV actually working. I used a TDK 24X cdr (taiwan) by the way!!! :)

The AOpen drive ROCKS...outperforms Liteon, Plextor and the TDK in several tests, and gets the "safebuy" award from the reviewers at cdrinfo. Go figure... :) by the way, it is the only one that can rip the cactus protected cds in its class.
