    Looking to spend ~$200 New/Used.

Yes, Jet.com with coupon and Amex offer. To be fair, I totally would have bought the MSI r390 for about $30 more but it was too long

    Looking to spend ~$200 New/Used.

I think people are underestimating the importance of GPU size also for an HTPC or modest case/motherboard. The only decently powerful AMD card you can get under 10 inches is the Nano at around $450. I think $400 is a big psychological price barrier for enthusiasts not looking for the absolute...

Worth putting in newer GPU into old computer?

I have an old computer (Q6600, AMD Radeon 6800 series GPU, 430watt PSU) that my kids primarily use. One of them has started to play Civ5, and when they do, the fans go all out, and the computer becomes super noisy. I'm thinking of getting a new video card for my computer (in preparation for...

Update: $299 + Free Shipping! 15" Ultrabook wannabe (great mom laptop)

Please let me know how the upgrades go if you decide to do them Kaido. I couldn't resist the price, and just bought one for my wife to use. I checked out that British video, and the SSD upgrade looked pretty easy, but the memory upgrade did not go well!

Are you guys getting the Basic Ipad 3 or LTE version?

If you have an ATT iphone with the appropriate data plan (5gb at least I believe), then you can use the iphone as a wireless hotspot, and tether the Verizon ipad (or any ipad, laptop, etc) to the phone. In that situation, you really don't need a cellular enabled ipad because you can just tether...

Are you guys getting the Basic Ipad 3 or LTE version?

FWIW, it appears that the iPad 3 LTE is capable of acting as a wifi hotspot (aka "tethering") and that Verizon will allow users on their prepaid plans to tether without additional charge. ATT has said they will not allow tethering with the iPad 3 initially, but they are working on a "solution"...

    cod4

Still fire up COD4 all the time when I just want to relax, and play a relatively mindless game. Team Deathmatch still has lots of players. Check out the =FF= servers (Fatality Forces?). Their servers are well populated, and pretty well policed. Love the nade spamming story! Those guys are...

    Best GPU for 450watt PSU

Well I looked at some 6850's and 6870's in more detail and they appear to be significantly longer than the 460. I'm going to have to open up my case and take some measurements, but this could be the deciding factor. I accounted for the two slots, and my current card fits without any problems...

    Best GPU for 450watt PSU

Sorry I mis-spoke earlier- I actually have a 24 in monitor (Westinghouse L2410NM) so native resolution is 1920x1200. My current card only allows me to play BFBC2 at 1024x768- any higher it gets too choppy, and I would like to play at 1920x1200. I've always been an nVidia guy, but it looks like...

    Best GPU for 450watt PSU

    So I shouldn't have any problems running a 460 or 6870 on a 450 watt power supply?

    Best GPU for 450watt PSU

Longtime lurker and newbie looking for advice. Planning on upgrading my 8000GT, and was looking at the 460 1gb, then the 6870, when I saw that the 6870 requires a 500w PSU. My current is setup is q6600, corsair vx450w psu, 3gb ram, win 7 (32bit), SSD, HDD, DVD drive, 22in monitor. I can only...
