Just how hot does the Gigabyte GV-R677SL-1GD HD 6770 run?

The title tells the tale. I wouldn't have the huge heatsink blocked by another card and I would have lots of airflow in the case, but do I have to fear meltdown to China? :D

[COOLALER] Intel Core i7 3930K Benchmarked -- Marginally faster than Gulftown

From the same article: The Sandy Bridge E is expected to be extremely overclockable and will come with an official "performance overclocking" support thanks to the use of the Intel X79 Express chipset. I'm sure that many will be tempted into some OCing with the quad... it might be nice to...

Confirmed: AMD will delay BD launch again now to Oct. 2011

LOL, you're on my ignore list so it really doesn't matter if you are giving away $100 bills. Say whatever you want. Have a nice life! :P Now for everyone else on this thread: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/amd-ships-first-bulldozer-processors-2011-09-07 Many of the initial shipments have...

[COOLALER] Intel Core i7 3930K Benchmarked -- Marginally faster than Gulftown

Get me a flight to London! I wanna see the SB-E run underwater! :) http://www.itproportal.com/2011/09/07/lit-show-2011-intel-display-sandy-bridge-e-chips/ Now... maybe just maybe, those rumors of 180W TDPs may have been on the mark. Otherwise why confuse everyone by premiering your new CPU in...

Confirmed: AMD will delay BD launch again now to Oct. 2011

So Interlagos with its BD cores is shipping... but as the title says: Where's Zambezi? http://www.extremetech.com/computing/95199-amd-ships-interlagos-16-core-bulldozer-cpu-but-wheres-zambezi It would seem to my lay common sense that as the article says: Zambezi is still in the wilds of the...

    Noctua D-14 won't fit Foxconn 1366 mobo

I just found this link that explains a similar problem with the Noctua NH-U12P http://techcaddie.com/intel-xeon-nehalem-noctua/ If you look at the first photo you'll see the winged socket backplate on my mobo looks like. And you can see that the holes in the metal are miniscule! This guy tried...

    Noctua D-14 won't fit Foxconn 1366 mobo

It's not the headroom, it's the fact that the mounting holes through the mobo are so tiny that the mounting bolts from the Noctua don't stand a chance of going through them. Oops. Now what? Take the mobo to a machine shop and have the holes drilled out? Er... not a good idea... :(

If it's Nov. 1, then it was not "60-90 days" as on the famous slide but 130 days! Running right into SB-E within a few days! This one's gonna hurt!

AMD Names Rory P. Read President and CEO

Intel is no virgin angel, but at least they have managed to maintain some level of shareholder value through some very tough times for the tech industry. They've held the bleeding down from $27.73 at the pre-recession high to $19.64 today. Compare that to the $40+ value of AMD then and the six...
