BF2: Bad Company 2 burned out my 280 GTX?

I had my evga 280 GTX since 1/09 running xp 32-bit until I recently installed Win7 64-bit and of course upgraded to the latest drivers. Three weeks later while I was playing BC2, all the sudden I got a flood of red color waves on my screen. The color flood persisted through a few reboots and...

I wondered what the main difference was there. Was there any particular person you bought from who might have more?

Need help deciding how cutting edge a Gaming PC should be

I read somewhere that 32 bit windows cannot take advantage of more than a certain amount of ram, that number being close to 4 gigs. Is that true?

Need help deciding how cutting edge a Gaming PC should be

Thanks Nerp. Thats really helpful information. Next question is will I see a considerable performance increase with 6gigs of ram running a 64 bit OS or should I stick with 4 gigs of ram at 32 bit OS?

Need help deciding how cutting edge a Gaming PC should be

Traditionally, I build a new computer every 3 years. I usually go high to mid range on tech and it plays strongly for 2.5 years and then sort of falls behind on the last half year - year. I am building a new pc for primarily use of gaming and a little web stuff / video watching. I dont do...

Building a new computer.... need input

I would shy away from dual core. If your going for gaming. I have had nothing but problems with my dual core. All the problems were eliminated by going to a single core for the game. Games ranging from Battlefield 2 to War3.

Seasonic s12 500w makes clicking noises

Checked the fan of all the parts of the PC. Then checked the big fan on the PSU. With all of those stopped it was still making the noise. Is there more than one fan in a PSU?

Seasonic s12 500w makes clicking noises

I started having this problem also. It happened for a short while last night and then stopped. Then about an hour later it started up again and I havent been able to stop it. I checked to see if it was the main 120mm fan by stopping that fan manually but the clicking was persistent. I guess RMA...

Seasonic S12 Series 500W noise problem

I bought a Seasonic S12 Series 500W PSU for my computer. Last night it started radiating a brand new very unnatural noise. At first I thought it was a fan rubbing on a wire or something. So I opened up the case and stopped all the fans manually to see if that stopped the noise. That didnt. It...
