New drivers have been posted on the Hercules web site. They are version 1.50 and are supposed to fix numerous issues with the card. I don't know how long these have been available, but I just found them today and thought I'd pass it along:).
Last time I ran 2001 was a few weeks ago, think it was 5998 or somethin' like that. I think my older mobo and cpu are holding me back. That's at 1024x768 32bit color, everything else default settings. Still debating on that newer Pentium or AMD mobo/CPU upgrade :).
I had a problem with the 23.11 drivers as well, my Intellimouse Explorer went crazy after I installed them. I went back to 21.83s and everything seemed ok, but I couldn't finish 3DMark 2001. Well, I looked around for answers and found something that worked, I went into my bios and set my AGP...
I agree with DN, try that card in another machine. If you get the same problem, it's probably defective. I had a hairline crack in an old motherboard once and it caused all kinds of weird problems in Windows. Good luck.
You need to be more specific with what type of computer you have. I believe your system is an older pentium/amd setup because those cards are rather dated. What version of Windows are you running? What chipset does the that Creative Labs card (CT6700) use?
I'm using the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0, seems fine with all my games and I like the shape better than the 3.0. I don't play a lot of FPS games though, so the newer mice might be the way to go if you are hardcore.
I built my system Feb. last year and it's been rock solid since then. Of course, I've added new hardware, games and such, but still works great. Why screw up a good thing.
Wow, weird. I've had my KT7 Pro2-A for a little over a year now and have had no problems. I play a lot of 3D, graphic intensive games like Half life, Battle Realms, Superbike 2001, etc.. My system is rock solid. Wish I could offer some advice for you guys, but I'm scratchin' my head.
From the reviews I've read, the Logitech Z560's arent' just loud, but sound very good as well. I went to my local Best Buy and auditioned the Z540's and Z560's, both sets sound great. Think I'm gonna pick up the 40's, can get them for $60 on the net. :)
Can anyone tell me who manufactures the Office Depot CD-R's. I've been using them for quite some time now without any problems, however they do look kind of cheap.
I believe that would be heat correct? The higher voltage will generate more heat in the processor, which can cause a-lot of problems, worst of all permanently damaging it.
"You don't seem to realize that all nForce boards have AGP slots, so you can always upgrade by sticking in an AGP card.
As for price, the MSI 420PRO costs about $145. This includes the built-in Geforce 2 MX (worth $60) and built-in sound (worth another $60 or so). If someone actually needs a...
