I understood what was being said however I was at the time unable to log onto my modem/routers web interface. That was my issue and it was because I didn't know my modems proper ip addy. Easy fix. Thanks...

Not sure what a WAN port is. The modem is connected to a port on the back of the router marked Ethernet and then there are four empty ports for computers and such. Are you telling me to unhook the modem from the Ethernet port and run it through one of the four other ports?
