This.
They will very rarely have the lowest price on an item, but really the only reason to begin using them would be if one could start purchasing at better prices and with free shipping some of the awesome Japanese gadgets and electronics that you can occasionally find on eBay or Amazon...
I have a Micro ATX Board. Asus a8n-vm. I would like to add wireless to my machine but both of my regular PCI slots are already filled. Are there any PCI Express 1x Wireless Ethernet cards out there? I googled for it but could only find a 4 port USB PCI Express card.
Thanks!
That's not what I wanted to hear. I moved away from a 9800 pro already because they kept overheating in my SFF case. I guess maybe 6600gt's are not going to work for me at all if they give off a lot more heat. Also, another reason i moved away from the 9800 pro, it that the only game I really...
Hmmm. Getting more confused.
Upon further digging around it looks like i can get 6800xt 128MB cards for around the same price as 6600gt 128mb cards. Whic would be better?
It looks like the 6800xt has 8 pipelines vs. 12 for a plain old 6800. Does this make it virtually identical in...
Oh, and thanks for the help. I appreciate it!
I almost bought a refurbished pci-x pcx5900 (single slot) for $59 including shipping tonight.
Now, I will not waste my money and will just shell out $100- 120 for a 6600gt.
I'm confused. Do you mean 5900<<9800Pro<<6600GT?
Also, the peak fill rate and peak memory bandwith seems to be slightly better on the pcx5900 than the 6600gt, but I did not consider or understand that there would be a difference in DirectX 9 performance.
I guess this is why I can find...
I have seen some pretty good deals on both of these cards. I am trying to decide between these two models for my Small Form Factor PC with PCI Express slot. The cards seem to be comparible in performance, with a light advantage going to the PCX5900.
The biggest concern I have is heat...
Erm...thanks...I think. I know all about the AGP X800 AIW, but I am hardly going to drop $300 on another ATI AIW without some assurance that it will not overheat too. Perhaps it is actually time to move on from the Shuttle SFF since they seem to really offer no options for video card cooling...
I have now gone through 3 ATI AIW 9800 Pro cards. Two in a Shuttle SS56L and one while using an SS56G (my current machine) and I am getting sick of getting the cards repaired/replaced by ATI.
I have seen/read of others putting even hotter cards in a Shuttle XPC and I do not understand why...
I am building a shuttle xpc for games, movies and tv and I have decided I would like the AIW 9600. Does anybody have any knowledge of which shuttle works better with this card, the sk41g or the sb51g?
Thanks!
I am assembling a Shuttle XPC for games and TV watching. I was wondering which one of these cards would be the better purchase. I can't seem to find any info comparing them.
Thanks in advance.
