MY new asus mobo only plays sound thru the right speaker, i tried jiggling the plug, but to no avail, i installed the soundmax drivers, i forget which version, but they dont work, i then got the latest ones, again numbers are wasted on me!, but still nothing from the left speker, i have tried...

I got a 3000+ athlon xp, on a asus a7v8x-x mobo, garphics is a HIS Exclaibur Radeon 9800pro IceQ(the one that makes u lose 2 pci slots) and 1gb of 2700 memory, 2 80gb maxtor drives(non raid/dynamic) My question is what can i realistically expect to be able to clock out of these bits and pieces...
