I am running 4x512MB for 2 GB of Corsair DDRII-667 right now. Would I see a boost by swapping to 4x1GB for 4 GB? In what applications? I am running XP Pro 32 Bit.
I have a 8800GS with 2 DVI outs on it. I am wanting to hook up my HDTV to the videocard in order to play streaming movies and such. I know my Samsung DLP HDTV has a VGA connector and I do not believe it has a DVI. How can I pull this off?
I have never had an issue with Gigabyte. MSI is a different story. If you want a budget computer that can be overclocked VERY easily. You could try a E21XX. My computer is smoking fast now that I have OC'd.
I started off by just jumping to a 333 FSB for a 3.0 GHZ processor speed and 667 DDRII. THis was a stock voltage of 1.21v. I then jumped the FSB up to 355 and the processor is at 3.2 Ghz. The temps are 31-32C idle and 60-63C cranked in Prime 95. I did raise the cpu voltage to 1.325v. Memory is...
Core temp reports the exact same as speedfan. I feel like I have a cool running chip. 31 C idle for both cores and 60-63 C when running Prime 95. All this is with the FSB at 355. Does this seem pretty good?
I'm sorry it is speedfan. Speedfan reports Core 0 at 31 C and core 1 at 31 C idle. My videocard is at 56 C idle. HD is 50C. IF I run Prime 95 small FFT speedfan reports the core 0 is at 63 C and core 1 is at 63 C. Everything is very stable. HWmonitor reports 78C on both cores on Prime 95 and 48...
I was wondering about the memory settings. The memory settings I have available on my Gigabyte DS3-Rev.1 board is 2.00, 2.66.... and so on. How do you go about overclocking the 2180 with tese types of memory steps?
