That system is very solid, especially for the games listed. I would upgrade the graphics card, if anything. The graphics card is always going to be the single most important aspect of a gaming computer (provided that you've got sufficient RAM--which you do). RAM will only get cheaper in the...
AnyDVD vs. DVDFab 5... does anyone have a preference between the two? I've used both, but I can't decide which I like better. DVDFab is cheaper though...
I also have a very hot A64 X2 3600+ Brisbane clocked to 2800-2900 MHz. My temps hit ~80C during gaming (though it's more than likely due to poor ventilation and a lot more equipment than my case is suited for). I suspect I'll kill the processor and/or motherboard before too long, but at over 2...
Fantastic work. This script is currently doing its business on a friend's critical machine. Due to his system being "hosed" and running EXCEPTIONALLY SLOWLY, I suspect that if there is such thing as an "easy fix" for his computer, this will be it. I can't be bothered to babysit his machine for...
Yeah, I actually managed to get it working with a few workarounds.
I've also found a nice IP Filter Updater utility for uTorrent, so everything's running smoothly now.

Oh, that's disappointing. :(

It's definitely working for me at the moment using the DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS fix.
It's fully functional in fact: updates, list manager, logging, blocking, allowing--the works.
I just need someone to fix my code so I can have Task Scheduler point to the batch file and automatically run...
I've spent at least 4-6 hours Googling and attempting some of the various "fixes" on the Net for my issues, and finally frustration has set in.
Firstly, I receive the following error message when I try to start PG2 RC1 Test (except it's all in English).
There are a number of fixes...
Thanks for all of the responses thus far! There seems to be some dissent as to the pin layout on the 24-pin connector for Dell vs. OEM PSUs.
Here's a picture of the connector on the Dell upgrade version of this Silencer PSU: link
IIRC, this male pin layout should match up perfectly with my...
I want to jump aboard the PCP&C bus. But this says "Dell upgrade". Supposedly, Dell stopped using proprietary parts several years ago according to various people on various forums. True story?
Just to clarify my question: will the PSU above work in a non-OEM (custom built) system?
I also...
I have recently found out that people (read: my roommate and/or his best friend) have been viewing pornography on my 'Guest' account. Perhaps this would explain the 2-3 hits found by Spybot S&D/Ad-aware of late. Needless to say I've since disabled the Guest account, but do I need to run Hitman...
