I've only owned a Dell, but I've been very pleased with it.

I don't play games, so a even a mid-range video card would be a waste for me. Buty I do typically run 5-6 applications at the same time. So I sepnd my money on a better CPU.

When I try turning on my computer, nothing appears on the monitor. It sounds like it's booting up correctly, but there is no way of really knowing. I tried replacing the monitor, but that's not the problem. I don't believe it's the video card either, but I could be wrong. So is my mobo dead?

Windows is reading an external hard drive that I was using to transfer files as not formatted. But yesterday it was working fine. The file system is/was FAT32. Is there any way to get Windows to read the hard drive or have I lost the files on it? The files weren't critical, by any means, but...
