My NEC 3520A loves the Japanese ones - burns them at 16x.

Usually just telling them you have copies is enough to call their bluff.

Micro Advatage 16X Dual Format DVD +/-RW

MicroAdvantage / AOpen is the worst of the current 16x DL drives - get a NEC or a Benq and use it with good media, which is now very cheap. All the drives are running around the same price, so it's not worth the hassle to deal with a poor drive just to save a few bucks.

Warm - AOpen Bare DVD Dual Layer 12x Burner - $47.90 (No Rebates)

This is the worst drive on the market. Spend another $10 or so for the NEC or the Benq and save yourself a ton of grief.

    Warm: P3 1.13GHz for $49

This is a Tualatin processor. Unless your mobo was a very late model, you'll probably need to spend a few bucks (<8) more for an FCPGA-to-FCPGA2 adapter socket. You might also need to reflash your BIOS to recognize the new chip.

    80x25mm Panaflo 12L 24CFM 2-pin Fan (Replaces L1A) ($3.00) @ SVC.com

They have the 3-pin version too: Link One caution about Panaflo fans - they don't have a speed sensor, even if you use the 3-pin plug. This is not a problem unless your mobo has a fan alarm that can't be disabled.
