For an extra $25 or so (AR), this is a lot better deal! G.Skill 2x1Gb GBHZ These G.Skills are running 260-280 or so OC'd on many DFI boards. (UCCC chips...)

trexmgd - The 2Gb G.Skill's many people are getting good clocks out of are the GBHZ's. Most run up to 250-280!

Did you look at the DATE of that article? 10/11/2004! I'm surprised you even could FIND a "Paris"! A 64 bit, 90nm core Palermo Sempy 3100+ will be an E6 stepping, and most do 2.5-2.6 without breathing hard.

I also use a 7000b AlCu, and I just use 91% isopropyl alcohol to clean up old Ceramique - works fine!

I'd get a 3100+ 64-bit and O/C it - the E6 core will do 2.5 easily, probably 2.6. People seem to spend so much time agonizing about the cache size - I've never seen much difference in performance myself.
