Heads up The BenQ G2400WD LCD monitor is on sale at newegg.com for $360 right now. Seems like a steal for a 24" TN LCD with decent color accuracy. Great for gamers or anyone looking for a general use 24 inch display! Edit: I just ordered mine. My priorities were gaming, price, and...

Thanks for the suggestion but my priorities are gaming, price, general productivity, and photo editing so I think I'm going to go with the BenQ. The G2400W is deactivated on newegg.com which is why I was asking aout the G2400WD.

Two quick questions: 1. Is the BenQ G2400WD any different from the G2400W that's recommended on the front page of this thread? 2. Will I run into any issues using a DVI->HDMI cable to plug my desktop into this monitor's HDMI input? My graphics card is an 8800GTX. I was looking at 22...

Thanks for the all info. I've narrowed it down to the Asus, LG, or Acer AL2216wbd (as a budget option.)

Does anyone know the difference between the Samsung 2253BW and 2253LW? Their descriptions are identical on Samsung's website. I can only speculate that one is glossy while the other is matte but could not confirm. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. That makes the LG and Sammy equal in price. I definitely don't have room for a CRT, lol. I barely have room for a 22 incher right now.

Thanks for those impressions. If the LG would go on sale again at Best Buy, that would make it a lot easier. It's currently sitting at $50 more than the Samsung so I want to wait for a sale or coupon or something. Any more impressions for me guys?

Hey guys; Noob poster here who registered because of this thread. I'm in need of a new monitor now. My needs are most importantly gaming followed by general productivity (web surfing/email/Office) and some light photo editing/management. Despite the drawbacks of TN panels, I"m really...
