My wife's computer is running an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe (rev. 1.06) motherboard with an Athlon 3200+ CPU. Recently, the sound just stopped working and she asked me to take a look at it. Thinking it would be something simple, I delved into finding the problem and ended up spending hours trying to fix...
So it would be worth it to have it modified to natively support the 8-pin then? I can live without the PC if it is worth the trouble. What is the downfall of using only 4 pins out of the 8 pins anyway?
I have a DFI Expert motherboard that has the 8-pin 12V connector. The power supply only has the older 4-pin connector which is currently plugged into one half of the 8-pin connector. It seems to be working alright but I have read that others have sent in their PC P&C 510 SLi power supplies to PC...
What about these sticks? Anyone have any experience with these in the DFI Expert?
2Gb Kit Team Xtreem Cronus 3-3-3-8 PC4000 (Micron)
If they are not going to work in the DFI Expert, then what about any of these?
OCZ Gold GX 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 500 (PC 4000)...
I have an Opty 165 CPU and currently using the 12/07 BIOS. I have also tried the modified BIOS E704-2BT, but that seemed less stable than the official so I flashed back. I could attempt to pull two sticks and get stable using only the orange slots, but WOW really loves that extra GB and I hate...
I should have read more before purchasing this DFI Expert motherboard about the known problems with TCCx memory. I have 4x512MB sticks of OCZ Platinum Rev 2 (all TCCD) that I can't even get stable at default 166(333) speed. Very frustrating to say the least. I had these same sticks running...
What about something like this here.
I know that I would have to use something other than netgear because they do not have an external antenna port (7 internal antennas). Maybe go with D-Link or Linksys MIMO product with this device on one of the antennas.
I have direct line of sight with this house. We live across the street from each other but they live in a small cul de sac so it increases the range slightly. I can look out the window in my computer room (front of house) and see the entire front of their house. I was hoping that if I bought...
I am looking for recommendations on hardware that I should purchase such that I can connect my neighbor to my high-speed wireless internet. They live roughtly 600 ft away from me with two brick walls seperating the two computers. I was thinking one of the 802.11 Pre-N routers and cards would...
Ok, I read this entire thread and I still can not determine what cable I need to use between my Audigy 2 ZS and Logitech Z-680 speaker pod. Specifically, for the 3.5mm jack labeled 'digital out' on the Audigy 2 ZS card, do I need:
A) Mono 1/8" plug to RCA (click here)
B) 4-split 1/8"...
Please, what are the fans that meet these requirements in the following sizes? I want a quiet PC for a change but do not really want to sacrifice good cooling (from air that is).
80mm
90mm
120mm

I think I will stick with priority for $6.00.
